Violin based on Pietro Guarneri, Venice

This violin has a good balance of soul and clarity, with depth and intensity particularly on the G string, whilst the E has the clarity that carries.

Model

This violin is based on an instrument made in Venice in 174o. It is relatively wide which gives a big, relatively broad sound, rich and deep paticlarly in the lower registers with a clear  E string. The archings are slightly lower and less severe than the original, following another of Pietro Guarneri’s violins made in 1735, to get a more powerful sound.
